Encouraged by the action of my Herbens Consort partners, Felipe Rodríguez, with his Blog Flöte, and Carlos García Amigo, with Son Bachiano, I, too, return to this blog. Hopefully my colleagues’ work will push me to post with more continuity.
As such, I have to dedicate this first post to the Herbens Consort. We are a baroque music ensemble that was assembled last summer to participate in the Herbón Music Festival “As notas do pemento” [The pepper notes].
The consort is currently made up of Felipe Rodríguez (recorder), Beatriz Junco (violin), Diego Rojo (archlute), Jesús Rodil (harpsichord) and Carlos García Amigo (viola da gamba and music director). The vocal part is made up of Indra Sesti (soprano), José Antonio Campo (tenor) and me.
Our website will be available shortly, which will explain further our intentions in forming this ensemble. Meanwhile, you can follow us on our Twitter account.
